We are using Amy's house for one of our main settings because it looks like a typical teenagers house. It's in a nice area and it fits into "Raven's" parents' social class ranking. We wanted our target audience to feel as if they could relate to the settings so we chose places that look like what their houses might look like.
Amy's room was perfect for "Raven's" character because it reflected her personality. The room was small and cute and had typical "girly" mise-en-scene in it. For example, the posters on the wall and the colours of the wall are stereotypical "girly" colours and because they are quite light and there's nothing really bold in there, it reflects "Raven's" shy and innocent personality.
